Romania will take 40 thousand workers

The foreign minister said that Romania, an Eastern European country, has shown interest in taking 40,000 workers from Bangladesh. AK Abdul Momen. The foreign minister told reporters at his residence on Thursday (October 14) after returning home.  After his visit to Serbia and Romania in Eastern Europe, he returned to Dhaka and faced the journalists. Momen said that the export of manpower was discussed with the Romanian government. They have expressed interest in hiring 40,000 workers in various sectors. He said, now in some cases workers will be needed, in some cases we will consider what we can provide. He said that 1000 workers have been sent to the country so far. Dr. Momen said that there is a problem because Romania does not have a mission in Bangladesh. Because if there is a mission in Bangladesh to take workers, it will be beneficial. We requested to open the mission here. 860 Bangladeshis fled from Romania to Germany. He also said that they were sent back to stay there illegally. The minister said that during the Balkan war, the missions of the two countries were closed. Now the main problem to take workers from Bangladesh is that they have no mission in Dhaka. The country wants to implement Delhi's mission. But that mission is also small. Among those who applied, their work permit did not come. Therefore, the foreign minister of the country has proposed to send the consular service to Dhaka. Dr. Momen said the Expatriate Welfare Ministry will look into the matter. The issue of sending workers will be at government to government level. The private sector will not be included. He said that there has been a discussion about arranging scholarships for hundreds of Bangladeshi students in Romania. The Foreign Minister said that Bangabandhu Corner was inaugurated at the country's Bangladesh Mission during his visit.
